Richard Husseini, the former chair of the tax department at Baker Botts, is joining Kirkland & Ellis as a partner in its Houston office.
The firm announced Monday that it had nabbed the tax controversies and planning attorney. Husseini had also been a member of the executive committee at Baker Botts.
“We will continue investing in key areas like this to meet the increasing demand of our client base,” said Jon Ballis, chairman of Kirkland’s executive committee, in a statement.
