Kirkland & Ellis Adds Halàsz, Schlott as Restructuring Partners

Christian Halàsz and Friedrich Schlott joined Kirkland & Ellis as partners in its restructuring practice in Germany, the firm announced Tuesday.

Halàsz’s practice focuses on cross-border and domestic financial restructurings, workouts, insolvency, and multijurisdictional collateral enforcement, the firm said. He advises clients in the automotive, telecommunications, packaging, paper, transport, mining, and energy sectors on strategic and legal issues related to distressed debt and special situations.

Schlott’s practice includes restructuring, insolvency-related corporate law, and insolvency law, including in-court and out-of-court restructuring, and he regularly advises stakeholders across the capital structure and from various business sectors, the firm said.
