Emily Gordy has joined King & Spalding as a partner in the special matters and government investigations practice group in Washington, D.C., the firm said Tuesday.
Gordy, who joins from McGuireWoods, deals with compliance and enforcement issues affecting broker-dealers, fintech companies, investment advisers, and investment companies, according to King & Spalding.
She was also executive vice president and deputy general counsel for LPL Financial as well as held positions at the Securities and Exchange Commission and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and its predecessor NASD, King & Spalding said.
