KBR’s $557 Million Air Force Support Price Reasonable, GAO Says

The U.S. Air Force reasonably awarded Kellogg, Brown & Root Services Inc. a $557 million contract for base operating services to be performed in Europe and Africa despite a protest by incumbent Vectrus Systems Corp., the GAO said in a decision released Wednesday.

The Government Accountability Office initially decided on Dec. 23, 2020. Following that decision, Vectrus protested the award at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims with a complaint filed under seal.

The court April 12 issued a one-page judgment upholding KBR’s award. The court will issue a public opinion detailing its rationale at a later date.
