Kaplan North America LLC has been hit with a proposed class action over its alleged failure to protect the personal information of its users and employees in a data breach last year.

A former Kaplan student sued the education company over the data breach that exposed individuals’ names, Social Security, and driver’s license numbers, filing a complaint Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida at Fort Lauderdale.
