David Patton has joined Kaplan Hecker & Fink as a partner in New York, the firm said Friday.
Patton has served as the executive director and attorney-in-chief of the Federal Defenders of New York.
He teaches a course called Professional Responsibility in Criminal as an adjunct professor at the New York University School of Law, said the firm.
