Fresh Vision OP Inc. succeeded in blocking state officials from enforcing a campaign finance law that could subject the Kansas-based non-profit organization to penalties.
Fresh Vision received a permanent injunction against enforcement of the Kansas Campaign Finance Act because an entity can only be a political committee if the major purpose of the entity is nominating or electing a political candidate, Judge Daniel D. Crabtree of the US District Court for the District of Kansas said in a Jan. 3 order.
