Prediction market runner Kalshi sued Ohio officials on Tuesday to try to head off possible enforcement action for operating in the sports-betting realm without state regulators’ approval.
The Ohio Casino Control Commission and the office of Attorney General Dave Yost (R) have gone back and forth with Kalshi for months about its foray into sports wagering in the state by using so-called “event contracts,” according to the lawsuit filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio against commission members, executive director, and the attorney general.
