US SUPREME COURT justices today questioned the constitutionality of a Colorado ban on licensed counselors using “conversion therapy” to change a child’s sexual orientation or gender identity, Greg Stohr reports.
- A Christian counselor is challenging the 2019 law, which Colorado says it hasn’t yet enforced, as violating her free speech rights. Conservative Justice Samuel Alito said during oral arguments that the measure “looks like blatant viewpoint discrimination,” which the high court previously has said is almost always unconstitutional.
