The US Supreme Court refused to lift a nationwide stay blocking a Biden administration border security policy from taking effect, but agreed to hear the challenge over it next term.
In a 5-4 order on Thursday, the justices dealt the administration another setback in its attempts to shift Trump-era immigration initiatives. A number of Republican-led states have sought to maintain them in a wave of lawsuits.
