Jennifer Hodge, a 20-year veteran of the Justice Department, will lead a new criminal tax unit after the current tax division is dissolved.
The department internally announced Hodge to the criminal section of the Tax Division in August, said Karen Kelly, who was leading the DOJ Tax Division at the time and is now a partner at Kostelanetz LLP. Another person familiar with the matter confirmed Hodge’s appointment. DOJ didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
