JPMorgan Taps Jones Day to Fight Trump’s Miami Debanking Suit (1)

JPMorgan Chase & Co. hired a pair of Jones Day litigators to defend the bank and its chief executive officer, Jamie Dimon, against President Donald Trump’s lawsuit over the closure of his accounts.

Jones Day partners Eliot Pedrosa and Kelly Carrero are representing JPMorgan and Dimon, according to a Thursday filing in a Miami court. Trump filed the suit in January, seeking at least $5 billion over allegations that the bank stopped offering services to the president and his businesses for political reasons.
