Jones Day Taps IP Litigation Duo Reines, Walter as Partners

Edward Reines and Derek Walter joined Jones Day as partners in the firm’s intellectual property practice, the firm announced Monday. Reines will be based in Silicon Valley, with Walter in San Francisco.

Reines represents companies in competitor disputes, and has handled cases involving false advertising, genetic testing, and patent litigation, the firm said.

Walter’s practice centers on biological and chemical technologies. He works with cases that appear before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board for both patent owners and petitioners, the firm said.
