Jones Day Taps Former IRS Attorney Michael Coravos as Of Counsel

Michael Coravos joined Jones Day as of counsel in its tax practice in Boston, the firm announced Monday.

Coravos litigates cases before the US Tax Court, including cases involving transfer pricing, cost sharing arrangements, platform contribution transactions, subpart F income, hybrid financial instruments, and other complex corporate transactions, the firm said.

He joins from the Internal Revenue Service, where he was a special trial attorney in the strategic litigation division.
