Fried Frank advised UK private equity firm Permira on the close of its latest flagship fund with $17.7 billion in total commitments.
London-based Permira said in a statement that its Permira VIII fund easily beat its initial 15 billion euro target and closed with about 50% more commitments than its predecessor fund, which closed at 11 billion euros in 2019. The fund’s diversified global base of investors includes public and private pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments and foundations, institutional fund managers, and family offices.
