Jones Day Gender Bias Plaintiffs Can Redo Certification Motion

Female lawyers suing Jones Day for alleged sex discrimination in pay can amend their motion seeking conditional certification of a collective action, a federal court in Washington said.

Jones Day’s firmwide pay secrecy policy, under which associates face disciplinary action if they discuss their salaries, discourages female associates from speaking up if they suspect unfair treatment, the plaintiffs claimed.
