Jones Day was disqualified as lead counsel for bankrupt Vanderbilt Minerals LLC because the law firm also represented the mining company’s parent, a judge ruled Wednesday.
Jones Day was removed from representing Vanderbilt during a Wednesday hearing by Judge Wendy A. Kinsella of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of New York, according to a person familiar with the matter.
