Jones Day Adds Intellectual Property Partner Zhang in San Diego

Lily Zhang has joined Jones Day as a partner in the intellectual property practice in San Diego, the firm said Wednesday.

Zhang develops patent portfolios for clients conducting R&D in artificial intelligence and machine learning, structural biology, drug discovery, cybersecurity and cryptography, medical technologies, network hardware and software, and electronic payment systems.

“Lily has quickly established a reputation in the San Diego legal and business communities as one of the rising stars in patent law and life sciences artificial intelligence,” Steven N. Geise, partner-in-charge of Jones Day’s San Diego office, said. “She is a skilled IP counselor and patent portfolio advisor whose experience will be a tremendous asset to our clients worldwide.”
