JetBlue CEO Demands Fairer Airport Access in Quest to Compete

JetBlue Airways Corp. wants the US government to help it gain coveted airport slots and the ability to serve smaller and international cities, changes Chief Executive Officer Joanna Geraghty sees as vital to competing against the nation’s largest carriers.

Regulatory policies block growth attempts by carriers like JetBlue and undermine its ability to return to steady profits, which it hasn’t had since 2019, Geraghty told Bloomberg at the US Chamber of Commerce’s aerospace summit in Washington on Wednesday.
