Jenner & Block Nabs Former National Security Adviser Under Biden

Former White House National Security Council legal adviser Aaron Cooper is rejoining Jenner & Block as co-chair of its cybersecurity and data privacy practice.

Cooper, who is also taking the role of founding co-chair of the firm’s new critical and emerging technologies practice, had left the firm in 2023 to serve as deputy legal adviser to the National Security Council under President Joe Biden.

“Aaron uniquely understands the evolving landscape emerging technology companies are facing from inside the government and at the front lines of private sector innovation,” said Jenner co-managing partners Ishan Bhabha and Randy Mehrberg in a statement Thursday.
