Jeff Bezos, Amazon Execs, Board Members Hit With Derivative Suit

Jeff Bezos, Amazon board members and executive officers are facing a shareholder’s derivative lawsuit alleging they concealed the company’s anticompetitive practices, resulting in a securities class action.

Plaintiff Thomas Stabile, in a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware, also alleges the defendants allowed Amazon to violate state information privacy laws, including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act by storing employees’ and users’ biometric information without consent, triggering additional litigation.
