Jackson Pressed on Liberal Advocacy for High Court Nomination

Liberal advocacy groups were accused by a Republican senator at Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings of mounting an organized effort to undermine another candidate who he said would’ve received support from Senate conservatives.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Tuesday cited fellow South Carolinian J. Michelle Childs to highlight Republican criticism of progressive groups they believe aided Jackson’s eventual nomination.
