Intelsat Taps Former Commerce Department GC for Top Policy Role

Satellite services giant Intelsat SA has a new government relations chief in Peter Davidson, a former Verizon Communications Inc. executive and general counsel of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Luxembourg-based Intelsat, which filed for bankruptcy in May, announced Davidson’s hire Monday. He’ll serve as the company’s vice president of global government affairs and policy in McLean, Va., reporting to longtime general counsel Michelle Bryan.
