Insurers Seek Drastic Haircut to $185 Million Quinn Emanuel Fee

A group of health insurers objecting to a $185 million fee award to Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan in a case involving neglected Obamacare payments are seeking to cut the law firm’s award to between roughly $12 million and $23 million, amounting to a slashing of the award by 87% to 93%.

The $185 million fee award was remanded in January last year by the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and Quinn Emanuel in May asked the US Court of Federal Claims to nevertheless award the same figure.
