Husch Blackwell Drafts Intellectual Property Partner Kinnear

Brian Kinnear has joined Husch Blackwell as a partner in the intellectual property practice group in Denver, the firm said Tuesday.

Kinnear, who joins from Perkins Coie, concentrates his practice on patent prosecution and counseling, according to Husch Blackwell.

He has prepared and prosecuted patent applications on artificial intelligence, satellite imaging, medical devices, and complex fractal encoding and decoding, said the firm.

He previously served as an engineer for the US Department of Defense, Husch Blackwell said.
