HP, Nvidia Defeat Consumer’s Appeal Over Laptop Graphics Card

HP Inc. and Nvidia Corp. fended off a consumer’s appeal Thursday in a proposed class suit alleging they duped him about the capabilities of the HP Envy 13 laptop’s graphics card.

Lead plaintiff Mark Twardzik, who bought the laptop from a third-party retailer after doing his own research, didn’t show he had relied on affirmative statements by HP or Nvidia, the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit affirmed.
