House GOP Demands Answers From Yellen on ProPublica Leaks

House Republicans on the Ways and Means Committee demanded an update from Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on an investigation into how private taxpayer information was leaked to nonprofit news organization ProPublica.

“The American people remain in the dark about who was responsible and how the Treasury Department allowed this to happen,” said a new letter, signed by Ways and Means ranking member Kevin Brady (R-Texas), and committee members Reps. Jodey Arrington (R-Texas) and David Kustoff (R-Tenn.).
