Marriott, Hilton, G6 Get Sex Trafficking Claims Dismissed (1)

A group of hotel chains including Marriott International Inc., G6 Hospitality LLC, and Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. won dismissal of claims that they ignored obvious signs of sex trafficking at several of their properties.

The US District Court for the Northern District of California dismissed the anonymous plaintiff’s complaint in its entirety on May 19.

“B.J.” sued the hotels in 2022 alleging that she was trafficked through their hotels between 2012 and 2016 and that they were therefore complicit. She alleged the hotels overlooked “open and obvious signs and presence of commercial sex trafficking on their properties,” according to ...
