Honeywell Worker’s Suit Over DEI Training Meets Cold 7th Cir.

A panel of judges on a federal appeals court in Chicago appeared skeptical that Honeywell International Inc. ran afoul of federal and state workplace anti-discrimination laws when it fired a White engineer over his refusal to participate in a mandatory diversity, equity, and inclusion training.

During oral argument Tuesday at the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the three Trump-appointed jurists echoed arguments from the company and the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that there’s no evidence that Charles Vavra was illegally discriminated and retaliated against.
