James McGuire joined Holland & Knight as a partner in its public policy and regulation group in Dallas, the firm announced Tuesday.
McGuire joins from the Environmental Protection Agency, where he was regional counsel and acting deputy general counsel for environmental media and regional law offices.
At the EPA, he supervised 80 attorneys in civil and criminal enforcement, multimedia counseling and permitting, defensive litigation, and ethics and general law functions under multiple administrations.
