Willie Phillips, the former chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, is joining Holland & Knight, the firm announced Tuesday.
Phillips, who held the post during the Biden administration, resigned last month after being asked to step down by President Donald Trump’s White House. Phillip’s departure disrupted the Democratic majority on the commission.
Ronan Gulstone also joined Holland & Knight as a partner in its public policy & regulation group in Washington. The two regulatory lawyers will boost the firm’s energy and natural resources industry sector group and federal and state energy regulatory team, the firm said.
