Holland & Knight Adds Maritime Finance Team Led by Mike Timpone

Mike Timpone, Kurt Plankl, and Sophia Agathis joined Holland & Knight as partners in its asset finance group in New York, the firm announced Monday.

Timpone will serve as co-chair of the firm’s maritime industry team, the firm said.

The team focuses on the representation of US and international lenders and borrowers in connection with secured loans and other financing transactions. They also regularly advise on the formation of joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, asset finance transactions, securities transactions, and restructurings.

Nicholas Kaasik also joined as senior counsel. The team is joined by four associates.
