Cliff DeGroot has joined Holland & Knight as a partner with the corporate, M&A, and securities practice group in Portland, Ore., the firm said Monday.
DeGroot, who practiced as a partner with Davis Wright Tremaine, provides counsel to startups and emerging growth companies and restaurants on governance and general corporate matters, according to Holland & Knight.
He has experience forming and structuring corporations, limited liability companies, and limited partnerships, Holland & Knight said. He also advises clients on mergers, acquisitions, and private placements of convertible notes, preferred stock, and LLC interests as well as limited partnerships to angel investors, venture capital groups, and private equity funds.
