Hinshaw Recruits Laura Cannon as Government Practice Partner

Laura Cannon joined Hinshaw & Culbertson as a partner in its appellate team within its government practice group in New Orleans, the firm announced Wednesday.

Cannon’s practice focuses on appellate cases related to commercial litigation, insurance matters, and consumer financial services. She also advises clients on white-collar crime compliance and defends public entities in constitutional cases, the firm said.

She joins from the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, where she served as a criminal justice act attorney.
