HHS Hawaiian Scholarship Targeted as Unconstitutional (Correct)

The US Department of Health and Human Service’s scholarship program for Native Hawaiians was hit with a constitutional challenge Monday from a group that fights affirmative action efforts in health care and medical education.

The agency’s “Native Hawaiian Health Scholarship Program” violates both the due process and equal protection clauses of the Fifth Amendment, the organization Do No Harm alleged in its complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
