HanesBrands Legal Chief Joia Johnson Announces Retirement

HanesBrands Inc. Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary Joia Johnson will retire in May after more than a decade with the clothing retailer.

The company, based in Winston-Salem, N.C., includes brands like Champion, Maidenform, and Wonderbra, and says it has around 63,000 employees across 40 countries. HanesBrands recently produced face masks for the U.S. government as the coronavirus pandemic took hold.

Johnson came to HanesBrands in 2007 as chief legal officer and general counsel, and she assumed her current role in 2016.
