Former Greenberg Traurig clients owe the Big Law firm $2.75 million for legal services provided during a failed acquisition bid of a major fried chicken chain and subsequent fees from years of legal feuding.
The judgment entered Wednesday in New York County Supreme Court comes after a January 2023 petition by Cayman Islands-registered Trimeta Capital Limited to avoid paying legal fees to Greenberg Traurig, who said it was owed for representing Trimeta in its failed bid to acquire fried chicken chain Church’s Holding Corp.
