Greenberg Traurig Collected $2.17 Billion in Revenue Last Year

Greenberg Traurig had its ninth straight year of record revenue growth, bringing in more than $2.17 billion in 2022 despite slowdown in the transactional market.

The Miami-based firm recorded an 8.6% increase in revenue last year over 2021, when it brought in over $2 billion, Greenberg Traurig said in a statement Wednesday.

“In 2022, we focused on looking ahead and planning for change by strengthening our team in key practice areas and locations, while also continuing to empower our people on the ground who are best suited to nimbly serve our clients,” Greenberg Traurig executive chairman Richard Rosenbaum said in the statement.

After a record-setting year propelled by the M&A and IPO markets in 2021, last year was a more tepid year for law firms as they faced a slowdown in transactional work, forcing some of them to trim staff and lawyer headcount.

Greenberg Traurig also announced that it would elevate 49 new shareholders across 26 offices and 14 practice areas. The firm is also elevating 31 attorneys to of counsel across 15 of its offices.
