Jacquelyn Burke joined Goodwin Procter as a partner in its risk management and insurance practice in Boston, the firm announced Monday.

Burke advises clients on complex insurance and risk management issues, the firm said. She works with institutional clients on insurance programs including coverage placement, and navigating major events like mergers, acquisitions, and bankruptcy.

She also helps to design custom insurance programs and policies for unique risks, including in connection with innovative technologies.
