Global Payments Adds Two Board Members, Enters Pact With Elliott

Global Payments Inc. is adding two independent board members after settling with activist investor Elliott Investment Management.

Patricia Watson, former chief information and technology officer at NCR Atleos Corp., and Archana Deskus former chief technology officer at Paypal Holdings Inc., are joining the Global Payments board immediately, the company said in a statement Monday. The company and Elliott will appoint an additional mutually agreed upon director by the next annual shareholder meeting, or immediately after.
