Gilead Sciences, Inc. announced that Keeley Wettan has been appointed executive vice president and general counsel, Legal & Compliance, effective immediately, the biopharmaceutical company said Thursday.
Wettan has held various legal leadership roles at Gilead over her 14-year tenure, most recently as senior vice president leading the Global Legal Business Partners team. She has been instrumental in supporting the launch of groundbreaking medicines, including the recent launch of lenacapavir, a twice-yearly HIV prevention medicine, the company said. Prior to joining Gilead, Wettan was an attorney at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York City.
