Mellissa Campbell Duru joined Gibson Dunn as a partner in its securities regulation and corporate governance practice group in Washington, the firm announced Monday.
Duru will advise clients on securities disclosure and compliance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder engagement, climate risk disclosures, and cybersecurity governance, the firm said.
She joins from the Securities and Exchange Commission, where she was a senior officer and deputy director of the division of corporation finance, legal regulatory policy.
