Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher is advising MidOcean Partners on its acquisition of Casper’s Ice Cream, a maker and supplier of branded and co-packed frozen novelty products.

Salt Lake City law firm Bennett Tueller Johnson & Deere advised Richmond, Utah-based Casper’s on the deal, for which no financial terms were disclosed.

Founded by Casper Merrill in 1925, the company operates three manufacturing facilities and makes products including ice cream sandwiches, cones, bars, sticks and cups. It sells its FatBoy, Jolly Llama, and ChurnBaby brands, mainly through grocery and retail stories throughout the U.S., according to a statement.

MidOcean said it plans to accelerate Casper’s growth and drive value through initiatives and mergers and acquisitions.
