George Santos Appeals Kimmel’s Win in Cameo Video Copyright Suit

Former Congressman George Santos is appealing comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s recent win to end Santos’ copyright lawsuit over Kimmel’s use of Cameo videos on his late-night “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show.

Kimmel, along with American Broadcasting Cos. Inc. and its owner The Walt Disney Co., won their motion to dismiss Santos’ February suit on Monday. A federal judge found that Kimmel had established fair use because Santos failed to allege market harm, and Kimmel had used the videos for a purpose that was different than originally intended.
