Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson said on Wednesday that it had hired James Wareham to head up the New York law firm’s litigation department.
Wareham, based in Washington, D.C., brings with him partner James Anklam from DLA Piper . He has represented corporations such as Chevron, AIG and UBS.
Word in the Washington and New York legal communities spread of Wareham’s move over the past couple weeks, although the hire was apparently finalized just recently: When Big Law Business asked Wareham of his joining Fried Frank two weeks ago, he responded: “Not true,” via email.
