Fried Frank Adds Monica Thurmond as Finance Partner in New York

Monica K. Thurmond has joined Fried Frank as a partner with the finance practice in New York, the firm said Tuesday.

Thurmond advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on leveraged finance transactions and represents issuers in public and private equity and debt securities offerings, according to Fried Frank. She also represents issuers and investors in private placements of convertible preferred stock and debt instruments.

She was a member of the capital markets and finance groups and former deputy chair of the corporate department at Paul Weiss.
