Georgia Dawson won another term leading Freshfields, the law firm said Thursday.
Dawson, the London-founded firm’s senior partner, has steered Freshfields during a massive buildout in the US. The firm climbed the ranks of top M&A dealmakers after poaching partners at rival firms and launched offices in Silicon Valley and Boston.
Alan Mason, credited with spearheding the US expansion, and Rick van Aerssen will also remain in their roles as global managing partners, according to the firm. Brussels lawyer Rafique Bachour will relinquish his global managing partner role to focus on his practice, Freshfields said.
“With strong momentum behind us, we’re refining what works and picking up the pace where we can do more, drawing on the strength of our global, multi-disciplinary platform,” Dawson said in a statement.
