Freshfields Adds Veteran DOJ Antitrust Lawyer in San Francisco

Manish Kumar joined Freshfields as a partner in San Francisco, specializing in criminal antitrust litigation and related white collar matters, the firm announced Monday.

Kumar served as the deputy assistant attorney general for criminal enforcement in the Justice Department’s antitrust division, where he set enforcement priorities and oversaw criminal antitrust prosecutions. He was the chief of the division’s San Francisco Office for several years, Freshfields said.
