Freshfields has hired private capital partner Eva Mak in its Silicon Valley office, poaching the former Kirkland & Ellis partner to build up its West Coast private capital platform.
Mak was named a Kirkland non-share partner in 2021, as part of the firm’s Silicon Valley private equity and M&A practice. Her practice includes representing private equity, growth, and venture funds, along with their portfolio companies, Freshfields said in a statement. She advises on large capital, mid-market, and growth transactions.
