David Sewell has joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as a partner in the New York office, the firm said Thursday.
Sewell’s practice includes guiding clients on critical charter and licensing matters, business model and commercial objectives, transactions, examinations, regulatory investigations, and enforcement actions, according to Freshfields.
He previously served at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York where he handled regulatory, supervisory, and enforcement matters. Sewell also held the position of chief point of contact for US banking and securities regulators at JPMorgan Chase, said the firm.
